Most popular questions:
- Does it hurt?
The treatment time includes prep time. Your Aesthetician will dermaplane and apply a topical numbing application which makes the treatment quite comfortable. If you choose to add PRP to your treatment, (vampire facial) a nurse will also do a blood draw.
- What is the downtime of a microneedling treatment?
As you can see in the picture below, this is a minimum downtime treatment. You can expect to be red the day of your treatment, similar to a deep sunburn. By the following day you will notice that most of this has gone down, and you will have a mild pink look that makeup or tinted sunscreen will typically cover.
- How soon before results are seen?
Most patients notice that their skin feels great and has a youthful “glow” within a few days! Pigmentation may darken within the first few days, and then will gradually subside. The great news? Due to the collagen stimulation, these results will continue to build over time!
- Is microneedling only for the face?
Absolutely not! We see amazing results on the face and decolletage as well!
- How often are treatments recommended?
In order to see the best results, we recommend a series of 3 treatment, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. After an initial series is completed, your Aesthetician will discuss maintenance treatments with you.
- What is the difference between microneedling at Robertson Cosmetic Center, and this treatment at a salon or at home?
Of course we always have to go above and beyond with our treatments! Not only does our system allow us to go deeper and obtain more corrective results, we will customize your treatment with products formulated to increase your outcome.
